About me
Over the last 30 years, I have taught just about every grade between pre-school and graduate-school. I have professional faculty, advisor, and directorship experience in a variety of colleges. In these positions, I actively engaged and supported students in their educational endeavors, helped students identify their strengths, and fought for program offerings and student centered curriculum changes to meet the needs of students. I have successfully developed and implemented PK-12 literacy and education programing, designed outcomes aligned laboratory modules for pre-service teachers, developed and presented in-service trainings including children’s literature for teachers, coordinated school-wide learning and literacy events, and designed/redesigned programs to meet the needs of constituents. Being a student advocate has always been an integral part of my career. I LOVE teaching and inspiring others to identify their own passions in the classroom – as both students and teachers. I am passionate about education and continually seek to create transformative opportunities for students. Whether working with children, families, teachers, or school leaders, I consistently seek to foster and maintain a shared vision that guides community efforts to provide each student high quality learning experiences that encourage growth and curiosity. |
